Deeply and intensely aromatic, full of classic Chardonnay notes – citrus, fig, honeysuckle, fuzzy peach, nougat, brioche, vanilla pod and wet stone all melding and releasing. Predictably, the palate is a world of layers, flavours and textures. Pliable and full of stone fruits, citrus, pear drop essence, nutmeal, and lemon curd. A soft chalk like texture and gentle acidity allows the flavours to build and linger. Never a wine a extremes, the Alligham Chardonnay is always nuanced and full of subtleties, surprise and harmony.
